Hi Corey,

Yes, most definitely, this is way better than nothing out in the field. I hadn't heard that Hillside went under. I'm sorry to hear that.

I'm sure out there somewhere, another company is picking up the slack. There's definitely a market for self-heating coffee.

I Found this Hillside coffee about two years ago and I have used it while hiking and orienteering. It has been rather nice to be able to have a hot drink of (coffee like substance) or cocoa cocoa, "in the field." Of course, I was a paratrooper (infantry) for 8 years (4 of them in the arctic) and a "leg" infantryman for another 4 in the national guard, so "warm" overrides "poor taste" in my book. I never had a "leaking" problem though I did have one fail to heat up, which was disapointment after I had carried it all day. Overall I was sorry to see Hillside go out of business and I only wish they had been around when I was stationed in Alaska with the Arctic Airborne (1/501).

[...] I picked it up, saw the words “Coffee Energy” and knew I had to try it. My expectations were rather low, especially after some of my other less-than-spectacular run-ins with canned coffee. [...]
