I prefer: One-Cup permanent filter KF 300
http://www.swissgold.com/e/c_produkt06.php
3 heaping tablespoons of coffee for the perfect cup. Picked it up at Cost Plus in Modesto years ago.

I agree that the Melitta stye single cup coffee maker is the best way to make coffee. I have been using it for many years but I've made one change. I put three tablespoons of high quality, fresh gound coffee and almost boiling water in a small pitcher and let it brew for 3 minutes. The pitcher is a cream pitcher from a cream and sugar set. It's the perfect size. Then I pour it into the Melitta filter holder on top of my coffee cup. I think that the longer brewing time makes a richer cup of coffee.

[...] The coffee must be made in my home, using my coffee and my bottled water. My contention is that you don’t have to pay high dollars to make excellent coffee, and that no drip maker at any price can make coffee that tastes better than this Zen little cup-top drip filter.
